Fast-Track Hot Food
A story of a myanmar guy and a caucasian girl who fall in love, and struggle hard to make their dreams come true
Part I
“Welcome back, Aung,” said Neomi.
“Come here, my little girl, I have missed you so much, you know,” said Aung while he hugged Neomi tightly.
Aung is of a myanmar nationality who came to New Zealand 5 years ago for a better life. While he was good looking, sensitive and down-to-earth, there was one thing he lacked; a girlfriend whom he would like to spend the rest of his life with. But that all changed one evening when he met Neomi, at a very busy food chain he worked for.
“It was just an ordinary day at work, albeit busier. I was serving customers and running to and fro the kitchen. It was a pay day, so all I had in my mind was getting paid and buying some groceries on the way back to my apartment.” recalls Aung.
Contrary to popular beliefs, Aung’s parents in Myanmar are not millionaire. While they could afford to pay for his tuition fees and some pocket money, Aung had to work hard to make sure he has enough money to pay for bills and other expenses. Aung used to have a girlfriend back home but they’d recently broken up because they couldn’t keep up with each other’s lives.
To be continued… (please check back in a day or two…)
