There is a lot to be said about the saying what we fear we create There is a great deal of truth to this. We create our own realities through our mobs and actions which will affect everything happening around us. We can combat negative thoughts by not sitting idly by. There is work one has to do however; with daily effort these negative thoughts can be eliminated.
Your first step is to recognize your thought pattern. Become aware of the negative thoughts that flow within your mind.
Secondly make a list of positive thoughts. Carry this list with you at all times. Read this list when you find yourself thinking negative things.
Replace a specific negative thought with a positive one. Also ask yourself “What am I feeling and why am I feeling this way”
Let go of all grievances and grudges that can fuel negative thought patterns and prohibit positive thoughts and change.
Be mindful of the outside circumstances that encourage negative thoughts and avoid these circumstances. Prepare yourself with positive thoughts before you enter unavoidable negative situations.
Do something nice for yourself every single day. Soon you will notice marked changes in your thoughts toward yourself especially when you do things for other people.
Lastly appreciate who you are and the good things in your life. Allow yourself to feel joy and peace and eventually the negative thoughts will disappear.
