In her recent interview, Aye Wut Yee Thaung spoke about her nickname Pauk-si, her interest in singing and writing and her career.
On her nickname Pauk-si: My mom (A-moe) gave me the nickname when I was little because I had a fair complexion and was chubby (like a Pauk-si). Now my nickname is Ee-Kyar-Kway (we are assuming it is because she is now tall and tanned). I used to hate being called Pauk-si when I was in school but now I love it.
On her interest in singing: I have always had an interest in singing since a long time ago. Whenever there are singing events and such at my church, I used to sing out loud to my heart’s content.
On writing: Yes, I write poems but I write diaries more often. I also write love fictions from time to time.
On her career: To date, I have appeared in about 40 commercials and 50-60 VCDs. As for videos, I have starred in more than 100 videos and have been in 3 major movies.
