9-year-old girl gives birth in China
FacebookBEIJING: A nine-year-old girl has given birth to a healthy child in northeast China, making it possibly the first case of childbirth at such a young age.
The mother and the 2.75kg baby are doing well after the caesarean operation at a hospital in Changchun in Jilin province.
The Changchun-based City Evening News reported the girl’s parents have sought legal help. Under Chinese law, anyone having sex with a girl under the age of 14 is convicted of rape.
There are no cases from India and China in Wikipedia’s list of young mothers up to the age of 11. There are only two cases of girls less than nine years given birth and five instances of 9-year old mothers in the world.
Another report from Shanghai based hospital said 30% of young girls who had surgical abortions were school students. The hospital run by the People’s Liberation Army revealed that 50% of them were in vocational schools and the rest studied in colleges. The hospital reported that most cases of pregnancy took place immediately after school and college vacations. At least one-third of the cases were in the secondary or advanced stages of pregnancy by the time the girls came to the hospital, it said.
The youngest girl to become a mother was aged five year seven months in 1939 in Peru, says Wikipedia. The second case was in 2006 when an 8-year old girl gave birth in the same country. There were five cases of childbirth of girls aged nine, nine cases of girls aged 10 and eight cases of 11-year old mothers.

Where is the father? Why do we expose the inocent minor internationally and protect the “perp”- the father??? If he is 11, 21 41 it duz not matter, we know that she is 9, that she had a “c-section” that she and the baby are doing well. Why is he protected?

You say why are they “protecting the father” the “perp”. You are assuming he was dominating and make it sound like he possibly forced her into sex. Perhaps they were over-curious school mates (no pun intended) and there is the case of the youngest ever father because he is also 9?
It could not have been another 9 year old, because the wouldn’t have sperm yet
Why couldn’t the father, at 9 years old have sperm, girls at that age aren’t supposed to have menstruation, breasts or be able to get pregnant either. Everyone in this world is different and mature at different ages.
Some children are exploited by adults, of course. But I remember from my own childhood, that the curiosity against girls started early. How young a boy, or girl are before they are fertile varies.

The story about the 5-year-old girl in Peru is true. There are pictures of her and she was not a victim of rape. She may have gotten pregnant when she went to sleep in her parents’ bed after they had sex the night before.
